Biography
Award-winning singer and songwriter Tim Feehan began his musical performances when he was only in his teens. What could have been little more than a hobby soon became a career. Over the years, since those early days, he has worked as part of a number of groups, as well as doing plenty of solo recordings under labels including RCA, Scotti Brothers, and MCA. He has also toured worldwide, had his tunes used in films, and performed backing work for numerous big-name artists. Tim Feehan was born in Edmonton, Alberta, in 1957. In his early twenties, while attending a local college, he began working with a band called Footloose. In 1980, the group completed a number of singles and its first album, a self-titled recording released under the Mustard/RCA label. The following year, Feehan went out on his own to do several double-sided singles such as "Try Harder," "Friday Night," "Go Ahead and Break My Heart," "Tell Us Your Name," and "Backseat, Backbeat." There was also a debut full-length offering, Sneak Preview. Through the decade, a few other solo albums appeared. When the '90s rolled in, they found Feehan still performing and recording under the MCA label with a new album, Full Contact. After that, he seemed to move more behind the scenes, working as a producer, engineer, drum programmer, synthesizer programmer, musician, as well as lending his skills with mixing and background vocals. Fans will find him listed in the album credits for popular artists from the late '90s and into 2000 like Tiffany, Krayzie Bone, David Foster, Chicago, Boyz II Men, Caz, and many others. ~ Charlotte Dillon, Rovi
