Biography
What was born in his dorm room in the presence of a few friends has graduated to Christian music's biggest stage. Jonathan, now 32, did it with an incredible voice and a beautifully honest approach to songwriting. The Chicago native has made an impact throughout arts and entertainment. Besides creating Grammy award winning music, he's written a renowned book Make Room: Finding Where Faith Fits, starred in a movie Favorite Son and starred in several TV shows including the highest rated BET series Sunday Best, served as an official contributor to Huffington Post, and taught as an adjunct professor at Columbia College. McReynolds went on to tour domestically with the album Make Room selling out 30 cities nationwide. Jonathan McReynolds is a Grammy, Dove, and Stellar Award-winning gospel singer-songwriter and guitarist based in Chicago, IL. Jonathan’s music has grown from dorm rooms to Christian music’s biggest stages over the course of three full length albums and one EP, making fans of music icons from Stevie Wonder, Nicki Minaj, and Tori Kelly to gospel giants like CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams, and Kirk Franklin, who dubbed him “the future of gospel music.” His latest full-length album People debuted #1 on current Billboard Gospel, Grammy winning song "Movin' On", two #1 Billboard Gospel Airplay songs, as well as a host of fan favorite songs.
