Duo Ruut sound ties together a single Estonian zither and two distinct voices influenced from both the beliefs of different cultures and their own contemporary and emotive songwriting. As composing on one instrument Duo Ruut’s music is minimalist at its core but packed with new and imaginatives ideas. They have released award winning debut album "Tuule sõnad" (Words of the Winds) in 2019 and EP "Kulla Kerguseks" (Golden Light) in 2021. Both albums have gained organic international support. In a short period of time they have already toured in Europe, Uzbekistan and Japan (Celtic Connections, WOMEX, Pin Music Conference, Stimmen Festival, ESNS, BAM Festival, Tallinn Music Week, Festival Hide & Seek, Sharq Taronalari, Jazzkaar etc).
