Jamaican-born singer, songwriter, artist Complex Ricki. She creates indie alternative music with a Caribbean Dancehall & Afrobeat fusion . Known for having a smooth floaty velvet tone on top of intricate and diverse instrumentals. An eclectic artist, In 2018 she released her first official project called the “Red Candle Lit Tape” from her previous band “trki” under the name “Ricki” with producer Troy Baker. Gaining social media attention from the project with a song called “Style”. The project conveys her creative taste and experiences in life, mixing a Spanish sound with Afro-dancehall. In 2019 she went solo dropping a series of small projects under the name Complex Ricki with the self-titled “Complex Ricki”, “22 Captive”, ”Free Space”, alongside an afrobeats single called “Feelings”. In 2019 she began performing shows in Kingston, Jamaica, locally.
