Biography
Introducing George Pelham, a British/American singer/songwriter with a distinctively emotive, soulful voice. He wrote his latest single 'Standout' as a response to being bullied, which made him feel as though he had to stifle his personality, and it combines jangly guitars and triumphant horns to create a song to kick off the summer. The single joins George's ever-growing catalogue. Born and raised in London, George has been writing and performing music for the best part of a decade. Scouts from TV shows such as The X Factor discovered him early on, as well as several reputable management companies, offering a fast-track route to musical success. Determined to avoid compromising on the authenticity of his music, George has continued to turn down these opportunities. This has resulted in his fiercely independent approach, in which he writes and produces his songs alone, and releases them on his own label, while promoting them to his increasing number of fans on social media. His singles have amassed over 6 million streams worldwide thus far. George has also established himself as a prolific live performer, having played hundreds of gigs thus far, including a four-month residency at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. He has also been well-received at radio: His single 'Not Tonight' was recently played by Rylan Clark on BBC Radio 2. At the forefront of George's uplifting, heartfelt music is his songwriting, pairing direct, relatable lyrics with unforgettable melodies.
