Biography

I'm June, I am a 24 year-old Brazilian artist who lives in an Island in south Brazil called Florianópolis. I usually write poems about my life experiences then turn them into music. Writing music is the way I learned to communicate with myself and get in touch with my deepest thoughts and feelings, there's no right or wrong when it comes to writing, It's more about the urge of letting myself just be. I've started my career really young and naive, I was only 16 years-old. I released my first EP with 6 songs I wrote at the time. Time went by and I kept making and releasing music, ended up getting in Brazil's "50 most viral songs" playlist on Spotify with my song "Facing Away" in 2017, won Best Artist in my state in the same year. In 2018 I won the "People's Voice" Award in the "International Songwriting Competition" with my song "Cup of Water" that talks about the struggles of women abuse. As one of the prizes, I recorded my EP "One not One" in Dark Horse Inst - Nashville, TN, released on 2020 by Sony Music Brazil. In the end of 2020 I finished my new album that has just been released called “Crying For Attention” and believe is my best released work so far.
