Biography
As one of the founding members of rap collective Odd Future, Casey Veggies was already a well known name in Hip-Hop long before his debut album dropped in 2015. He was a brief, but founding member of the group, appearing on its 2007 release The Odd Future Tape. After graduating from Inglewood High School, Casey spent 2011 promoting his Sleeping In Class mixtape, opening up for Mac Miller on the Blue Slide Park Tour. Following the tour Casey independently released a Deluxe version of Sleeping In Class which featured Mac Miller & Kendrick Lamar. Customized Greatly Vol. 3 landed in 2012, which put Casey on the radar with the likes of Sylvia Rhone. In 2013, his highly favored mixtape Life Changes was released and that same year he signed with Epic Records and Roc Nation Management. In 2014 his “Backflip” single was released, featuring special guests YG and IAMSU!. “Tied Up” featuring Dej Loaf followed in 2015, and both singles landed on his debut album Live & Grow. “Tied Up” went on to become Certified Gold. In 2019 Casey officially became independent once again after parting ways with Epic Records. On June 7th, Casey made his triumphant return to the music scene with his first album in four years, Organic. “Resilience, that’s the word that can best describe Casey Veggies style and commitment to come back over the years” - MTV. Casey then followed up with long time collaborator and friend Rockie Fresh in 2020, delivering the highly anticipated Fresh Veggies 2.
