Biography
K.R.Y.T.I.C is a Zambian Hip Hop artist that has stood out on the emerging African scene for over a decade. In 2007 K.R.Y.T.I.C recorded a demo tape that found its way into local radio playlists. Against the grain his songs received massive support from the local Zambian listenership. In 2009 K.R.Y.T.I.C was signed to XYZ Entertainment and released his first mixtape Poetry In E Minor. Now considered a local classic, Poetry In E Minor found instant favor among a populous that was hungry for more localized Hip Hop content. K.R.Y.T.I.C followed up with District Rhyme the same year. District Rhyme widened his listenership further and word of an album begun to spread among the radio waves. In 2010 K.R.Y.T.I.C left XYZ Entertainment and signed to So Good Entertainment. Under So Good he released Your Forever, his third mixtape. He also collaborated with K. Star to create 2wo 1ne. In 2015, K.R.Y.T.I.C released Best Before Forever under a joint venture between So Good Entertainment and DJ Academy Zambia. Best Before Forever was nominated for Hip Hop Album Of The Year in the Zambian Music Awards. K.R.Y.T.I.C stepped away from music for three years. He returned in 2018 with a fresh perspective as an independent act. That very year he released Art.Is.Tic , his second album.
