Biography

Based in Toronto, songwriting and producing partners Luke McMaster and Arun Chaturvedi make up the talented multi-genre production team, DEEP WAVE. Luke McMaster enjoyed his impressive Canadian gold album run as a duo with Rob James in McMaster & James, (“Thank You,” “Love Wins Everytime,”) with media often referring to them as the “Canadian Hall & Oates.” When he turned solo in 2002 and launched a more focused songwriting career and placing songs on multi-platinum and gold albums by Rihanna, Nick Lachey, Nick Carter and Kalan Porter. McMaster also recorded a succession of EPs and albums including 2008’s Time EP, 2013’s All Roads, 2014’s Heart of Soul and 2016’s Trending. Winnipeg producer and past winner of Producer of the Year honors at the Western Canadian Music Awards, Arun Chaturvedi has been writing and producing since his early teens. Having a great ear, being able to write songs and play different instruments in a variety of styles are all marks of a good producer, says the former frontman for Driver, an indie rock group. Chaturvedi’s compositions and productions can be heard on a variety of television and film projects including original music he created for the popular reality series, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
