Biography

Dennis Jernigan has been married to Melinda for 39 years. They have nine children (no, they are not Catholic, not Mormon, they are not adopted, and yes, they know what causes that!). So far, they have thirteen grandchildren. Jernigan was set free from sin on November 7, 1981 and began writing worship songs shortly thereafter. His songs are sung throughout the world. Some of his more popular worship songs include You Are My All In All, We Will Worship the Lamb of Glory, Thank You, Lord, Who Can Satisfy My Soul (There is a Fountain), I Belong to Jesus, When the Night Is Falling, If I Could Just Sit With You Awhile, Great Is the Lord Almighty and many, many others. Jernigan’s autobiography is called Sing Over Me. His followup book is called Renewing Your Mind. Both are available on Amazon. A documentary of Jernigan’s life, also titled Sing Over Me, is also available Amazon or Amazon Prime. DJ is also author of the three book youth/young adult fantasy series called The Chronicles of Bren. Captured, Sacrifice, and Generations. Dennis has also written two fantasy books for children aged 10 to 110 called The Bairns of Bren. In this (so far) two-book series, his eleven grandchildren are the heroes of the stories.
