Biography
The Realness II, a follow up to Cormega's iconic 2001 album The Realness, marks the New York native's return after a two-year hiatus from music. Executive Produced by Cormega, The Realness II features verses from Nas, Havoc and Lloyd Banks. Meanwhile on production, Havoc, The Alchemist, Sha Money XL, and Big Ty, all of whom produced on The Realness, return for powerful tracks; as a collective of other producers also make dynamic contributions to the incredible energy of the project. Cormega's catalog includes powerhouse albums like Mega Philosophy, The Realness, and The True Meaning to name a few. His 2020 Mega EP gave fans a taste of Cormega's direction just weeks prior to the world shutting down in the pandemic. With all plans to promote and tour put on hold, the EP held its own and garnered over 1.1 million streams on Spotify alone. During this time he wrote two books, partnered with visual artist Amar Stewart for various exhibits, and curated several fashion capsules with Privilege NYC. Now in partnership with Viper Records for the release of The Realness II, Cormega's musical goals are rejuvenated, and he's ready to give fans what they've been asking for, including new shows, classic art and NFTs, exclusive merchandise, and much more!
