Biography
Washington, DC-based Ben Gorvine, better known by his stage name IHF, captivates listeners around the world with his melodic, atmospheric electronic music. His music first gained traction with the release of his Floating EP in 2014, accumulating millions of streams online. His 2016 sophomore EP release, Departure, solidified his place in the electronic music community as an artist with his own unique sound. One of his more well-known tracks, “Evolve”, gained the attention of Google and was used in their 2016 Olympics ad campaign. Ben’s third EP, Oasis, was released April 10, 2020. This project blurs the line between electronic and indie. Relaxed yet stimulating instrumentals accompany Ben’s vocals, which range from driving melodies to background textures. In 2021, Ben released his debut album, ‘Precious Cargo’—a body of work reminiscent of his older pieces combined with singing and songwriting experimentation. His fourth EP, Soft Fascinations, was released in September. Ben’s online presence resulted in a wide array of opportunities, from touring with artists such as Big Wild, Griz, Glass Animals, Thievery Corporation, STS9, Hayden James, and Elderbrook, to playing major festivals including Coachella, Electric Forest, and Lightning in a Bottle. His extensive catalogue of new music contributes to an immersive and emotional live show experience that he plans to unveil in 2023 along with multiple projects.
