Vanessa Contenay-Quinones Paris born singer/songwriter/producer who spent some of her formative years in the Canary Islands before returning to Paris and later moving to the UK where she signed her first recording deal with Heavenly Records releasing two largely self produced albums and several singles. Born in Paris to French father and South American mother. Writes and records in either French, English or Spanish. Charted in the uk top 50 with 4 singles on Heavenly Records under the artist name Espiritu. Recorded and released a version of Sunday Morning with Lou Reed in 2004. Appears as guest vocalist on the 2006 Scott Walker album The Drift. Formed Vanessa & The O's with James Iha, Niclas Frisk and Andreas Mattsson releasing one album La Ballade D'o. Contributed a track as Vanessa & The O's to the 2007 Ennio Morricone album 'We All Love Ennio Morricone' alongside Bruce Springsteen, Quincy Jones, Metallica, Yo Yo Ma. Recently worked with Skeewiff to produce the 3 Allez Pop albums featuring succesful songs Langue Au Chat and Bon Bon Bon which festure in many tv ads and movies worldwide. the last skbum being Voodoo Girl in 2021.
