Biography
Swedish Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Brother Leo introduced himself in 2018 with the single ‘Strangers On An Island’, a gold-plated banger produced by British dance music legend Fatboy Slim. The Brother Leo debut evoked praise from the likes of Hunger, MTV, Wonderland and NME, who called it “a gorgeous slice of pop magic”. Since then, Brother Leo has maintained his innovative musical reputation with singles such as ‘Living In A Zoo’, ‘People’, ’Sunshine’, ’Hallelujah’, as well as ’Sad Child’ written and performed with Sandro Cavazza (Avicii). With already close to 100 millions streams to his name, his long-awaited debut album “PoP Poetry” finally arrived on 16th of September 2022. The album introduces star-studded collaborations with the likes of Fred again.., Fatboy Slim, NEIKED, Björn Yttling (Peter Bjorn and John), Joakim Berg (kent) and Steve Mac (CHVRCHES, Ed Sheeran). Geographically, Brother Leo moves between London, Berlin and Stockholm. Genre-wise, he moves with unique flexibility on multiple levels. Described by Music Week as “a non-conformist creating his own lane in the world of pop music”, Brother Leo possesses the rare ability to connect across the whole spectrum of the pop landscape. With his creative alt-pop flourishes he writes about his own life and experiences with vulnerability and a dark, sometimes provocative, humour, that he combines with colourful melodies.
