Biography

Courts, aka Sander van Werkhooven, is a music producer from The Netherlands. After hearing David Guetta's Nothing but the Beat (Ultimate Edition) album back in 2012, he immediately gained interest in the genre called ‘EDM’. Sander started making very basic music back in 2014, which did not always sound as good as desired. Gradually improving, he released a bunch of remixes on his Soundcloud page. His 2K17 remode of Teenage Crime, which he made together with CHRSTN, even gained the attention of The Chainsmokers, whom supported it in their Nice Hair podcast 040. A year later, the first Courts single, named 'Forecast' got released during the summer of 2018, gaining a lot more traction than expected. The second release came about a year later, in summer 2019, together with Divite named 'Waiting for You'. This release got supported by the world-famous dj Yves V. The Courts signature sound is happy and energetic. It often features real-life instruments like piano and violin and contains a lot of emotions.
