Biography
Colorblast is Gilles Luka one of the most successful modern day French artists, a singer/songwriter and producer who brings together his main musical influences (an explosion of colours mixing pop, funk, rock all linked by chic electronic beats) to create the Colorblast “sound”. In January 2022 Colorblast recorded a personal cover of the anthemic “Message In A Bottle” by The Police, validated by STING himself, marks a turning point in his career by paying direct homage to the song that gave him the spark to start this new project. Certified Gold in France with over 15m streams, #10 Radio airplay (France) – No.1 high rotations on Fun Radio and Virgin Radio, #3 Club charts (France), #4 Hot 100 Club charts (Germany), #16 Shazam (France), “Message In A Bottle” continues its journey overseas. With this inspiring dynamic, Colorblast now releases a completely re-worked version of “Killer”, the 90’s anthem by SEAL which left a huge impression on the teenaged Gilles Luka leading him to discover dance music. We rediscover the hypnotic melody “Solitary Brother, Solitary Sister”, the lyrics “Living Together” still remains a strong egalitarian message today. Surrounded by his team Romain Curtis (Ocean Drive) and Philippe Laurent (Galleon), “Killer” takes a few points in the BPM for the Colorblast “touch”.
