Biography

Jerskin Fendrix resists classification. Born in Birmingham, he spent 2 years nurturing a visceral live personality at the fertile south-London venue 'Windmill Brixton' around the likes of Jockstrap, Black Country, New Road or black midi with whom he toured the UK in 2018. His music echoes Oneohtrix Point Never's cold ambient as much as the hyper-pop of Carly Rae Jepsen or Mica Levi's soundtracks. Jerskin Fendrix cannibalises music cultures at the service of very emotional and personal songs. He operates in between genres, carving his own unique place in the realm of pop music. After the release of a trilogy of striking videos in early 2018, a christmas single with black midi , and an acclaimed soundtrack for an experimental theatre piece at the V&A, Jerskin released his debut-album "Winterreise" in April 2020 via London tastemaker label untitled (recs).
