Biography
Cage9 is a heavy alt-rock trio from Los Angeles, CA with origins in Panama. Haunting and melodic vocals with vivid, expertly crafted songwriting, heavy and sometimes prog-rock musings bleeding into very catchy sing-alongs take the songs on their 2019 album “Hypesthesia” into very diverse sonic territory - but always manage to sound like Cage9. Cage9 has shared the stage with Ozzy Osbourne, Asking Alexandria, Bad Religion, Ill Nino, Seether, Powerman 5000, Karnivool, In This Moment, Queensryche and many more. In the band’s 20 plus year existence Cage9 has released almost 100 songs over 8 albums, sold 25,000 copies worldwide, toured the US (over 50 dates last year alone), Japan and Central America. Lead singer and band mastermind Evan Rodaniche who writes, mixes and produces all of the band's music and videos, has also lent his production and recording talents to a host of other notable artists including Escape the Fate, Lacey Sturm, Powerman 5000 and more. Drummer Abel Vallejo, who drum techs for Ray Luzier of Korn, most notably filled in on drums for that legendary band when Luzier had to miss a show. Gustavo Aued, the band's original bassist returned recently after playing with Powerman 5000 for a few years.
