Biography

@Avanti Luz is a reggae band from San José, Costa Rica that made its debut in 2013 and was born, in the first instance, with the idea of ​​making original music under the influence of roots reggae with Latin roots. Throughout its evolution, the band has traced a path of sound exploration using reggae as a base to merge with dyes from other genres. In 2014, Rodolfo Herrera, current vocalist, joins the band and materialize its first studio production @Alba, an EP of three songs with sounds, not only of an original reggae style, but also with links close to groove funk, R&B and jazz-hop. In 2016, presents its second studio work made up of two singles. These give a follow-up to the original style that the band proposes within the genre. That same year, the band made its first international participation in Mexico as an opening band on the 20th anniversary tour of @Cultura Profética, also sharing the stage with important artists such as @Pablo Molina and @McKlopedia. After a few years of dedication to musical composition and production, @Avanti Luz releases its third single @El Problema in 2020, and begins a stage of production and release of six singles between 2021 and 2022 where the band proposes a open and experimental reggae, reggae/hip hop; and a mix of reggae, pop soul, jazz and funk in search of a fresh and innovative proposal within the genre.
