Biography
Mobile, Alabama’s OMB Peezy is carving his own lane towards hip-hop stardom with a flow that marries South and West and rhymes spitting the only thing that matters—the truth. His introspective musical approach sparked his initial connection with hip-hop legend E-40, leading Peezy to ink his first deal with Wid It Records. The young MC went on to grab the world’s attention with his breakthrough single “Lay Down”, signing with 300 Entertainment to drop his debut EP Humble Beginnings (2017). Peezy showcased his hustle in “Doin Bad” ft. NBA YoungBoy, amassing 20+ million streams across platforms. Thanks to his musing and bicoastal rap style, projects like Young & Reckless and Preacher of the Streets (2018) further earned Peezy acclaim and collaborations with T.I., Lil Durk, Sada Baby, Boosie Badazz, G-Eazy, and more. In 2020, after embarking on tour with Rod Wave, which was shortened due to COVID-19, Peezy released the mixtape In The Meantime, prod. by Drum Dummie, containing fan-favorite “Sleep At Night”. By 2021, Peezy bared all in his debut album, Too Deep For Tears, which housed the boastful singles, “Big Homie (Remix)” ft. King Von and Jackboy and “Dope Boy” ft. Rylo Rodriguez. The mixtape’s success drew him co-signs from Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, and more. In fall 2021, Peezy unleashed a string of singles like the pensive track “Die Young” ft. Omeretta, introducing In The Meantime 2 with features from T.K. Kravitz, Mista Cain, and T.I., making him one to watch.
