Biography

Matt Block is a trumpeter, composer and songwriter from Philadelphia, based in NYC. Matt's grandfather introduced him to the trumpet and jazz when he was just three years old sparking his initial passion for music. He is a co founder of and runs la reserve records, a Brooklyn based label dedicated to empowering musicians and amplifying artistry. He also heads up music production at Splice. Strange Harbors is his debut LP coming in September 2022 which he co wrote and produced with his grandfather, Mort Block who is now 82.
