Biography
Formed by frontman Connor Weinstein in 2014, Los Angeles band Next Door to the Moon bridge the gap between radio friendly pop and raw, hard-hitting rock. The eponymous single from their new EP Can't Quit It (produced by Cartel frontman Will Pugh) won the pair the “Best Pop Band” award at the 2017 Indie Music Channel Awards, and was named "Best Pop Song" by the 2017 Radio Music Awards. The music video was was named "Video Of The Year" in addition to winning "Best Pop Video" at the 2018 Indie Music Channel Awards. In addition to these accolades, the song has been featured on both Spotify's "The Scene" playlist as well as the Alternative Press "Discover" playlist. The acclaimed second single, "Situation," won the award for "Best Pop Video" at the 2018 Indie Music Channel Awards and was also nominated for "Best Independent Music Video" by the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA). "Medication," the band's latest single and music video, was described by Joel Funk of Substream Magazine as "a bouncy bout with the poppiest of pop-rock. The melody is bound to run a marathon through your head until you catch yourself singing that infectious chorus." The song was nominated for "Best Pop Song" at the 2018 Indie Music Channel Awards.
