Biography

The emerging 25 year old musician Jonas Jay, is not the classic singer-songwriter. He is both a guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer for his own music and that of others. From an early age he loves to play guitar and achieves a unique blend of styles such as blues, country and pop and is inspired by influences like John Mayer, The Bros.Landreth or Lizzy McAlpine. He interpreted these styles for the first time in a new modern way with his debut single "The Way it goes" in 2021. Characteristic are especially his warm voice and the distinctive guitar influences. Jonas Jay has almost always lived in Hamburg, Germany and has been writing and co-producing his music since his music studies in Hamburg and Berlin with his friend and producer Joe Kuttler. Together they recently created another unique sound: "Ain't no fairytale". The song originally was one the first songs he ever wrote back in 2020. Since then, ain‘t no fairytale, has gone through its musical development together with him. He therefore also picks up his beginnings through the acoustic guitar again and is complemented by new pop-folk influences. Especially the bridge stands out from the song and the classic pop-folk music, which is why it is worth listening very closely, especially for the curious.
