Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Tegi Pannu is considered to be a rising star of the hugely progressive Punjabi music scene. Originally from Amritsar, Punjab, Tegi came bursting onto the scene in 2021 with his single Into You. Into You saw much success and quickly spread virally on short video platforms. 2021 saw the release of several singles by Tegi, notably Fully Loaded and the summer smash Schedule. Schedule quickly rose to be Tegi’s biggest single to date, amassing millions of streams and views, becoming the go-to party song to erupt dance floors in 2021. Early 2022 saw the release of the hugely successful Untouchable, which saw similar viral-like success on social media and peaked high in the Asian Charts. Tegi is known for his smooth melodic vocals and ability to adapt his style to suit genres from romantic, uptempo to more gritty, street flows. He began honing his craft at the early age of 13, writing lyrics and performing amongst school friends. Now, aged 26, he writes and composes almost all of his songs, giving him a unique doorway to today’s youth - who make up much of his following. All roads for Tegi currently lead to his debut project entitled Disturbing the Peace, which is due for release in 2022. These are promising times for the rising star, who is quickly garnering the interest of both domestic and international markets, and is regarded by many, an exciting prospect to lead the Punjabi music industry into a new era.
