After their colorful first album “Nekomata” and their powerful second album “Versions”, Supernaive presents “Dordogne” (to be released June 2023), their new hybrid project between a video game soundtrack and a real album. This double LP of the two brothers includes 30 tracks, oscillating between melancholy and wonder. They build a strong narrative throughout the songs, taking the listener by the hand to discover their unique poetic universe. Childhood is one of the band recurring themes, resonating here with the watercolor graphic universe of Cedric Babouche through his eponymous video game. "Dordogne" is both the story of the composers and that of many young adults, nostalgic for the happy days spent alongside their grandparents during the school holidays. Throughout the tracks, the listener will recognize warm sound textures (magnetic tape recorder, tube amplifier), gradually plunging him back into his forgotten youth. Supernaive invite the Canadian Joseph Shabason on 4 tracks where he plays fabulous harmonized saxophone solos of which he alone has the secret. Finally, the lyricist (and sister of the composers) Leo Mirage also wrote 4 key tracks of the album, which she performs herself for the first time.
