Biography
Passion is at the forefront of all that surrounds twenty-one year old Avi Roy on his journey as a human and an artist. Born in Toronto, a city filled with an immersive music culture as well as growing up in an Indian household where music was a customary part of life, it’s easy to see how he has ended up on this path of creating eccentric and authentic art that fans around the world will soon come to love. Avi’s greatest influences consist of sounds from The Weeknd, Drake, and Justin Bieber so he would hardly define himself as just a single genre artist. Roy describes his style as a “New-Wave R&B” Sound. Fans of Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B and other related genres will find Roy’s work to be a fresh and unique splash, leaving them wanting more to quench their thirst. With a growing fanbase, from his debut in 2021, and a collective of stories to tell from his time as a student/artist in London, Roy released “the london tapes” in February 2022. His debut EP has become an instant classic for his fans across the map. Roy started this year with the release of “Let Me Lose You” which marks the beginning of a project that he believes will change the way that people listen to music. With more new music on the horizon, Roy is eager to share his art with the rest of the world in 2023.
