DARK COUNTRY is the labour of love of Sampo Marjomaa and Jami Pietilä – a melodic hybrid of metal, country and rock and wrapped in a shroud of stories. Both Jami and Sampo were born in the city of Oulu in Northern Finland, giving the band name another meaning. Dark Country is the songs the child of Dolly Parton and HP Lovecraft would sing in Twin Peaks if raised by Stephen King. Our new song River River is our dynamic, dark and dramatic song about escaping a bad situation by risking everything. Let the river take you wherever it wants to!
