Biography
'the garages’ are a band that began in August of 2020. They're a queer anarcho-syndicalist band collective that originally arose as a group of musically-inclined fans of the Seattle Garages, a team from the absurdist-horror game ‘Blaseball.’ They are made up of too many musicians to count across the US, Europe, Australia, and more who have been composing music remotely and collaborating on nearly all releases. Over the course of 2020, 'the garages' released 14 albums and EPs chronicling the events of Blaseball, and played two pre-recorded live shows to a virtual crowd of over 5000 people. Proceeds from these live shows went towards charity, which is a trend they hope to continue in the future. A review of one such show: "Amazing how a fan-based offshoot of an internet browser game showcases the power of collective creativity, unintentionally begetting one of the most exciting DIY bands of the year." - The Tape Deck Spectreview The band has released a wide range of music, defying genre (and more than a little taste) to pump out good sounds across the internet.... so y'know, they're a punk band.
