Biography

Originally from the city of Tema, Ghana, DJ Akuaa otherwise known to her followers as “DaSpinstress,” launched her career in music in the DC Metro Area in 2010. Since its launch, she’s had the privilege of playing in 14 domestic cities and four international countries at weddings, special events and nightclubs; notably South by Southwest in Austin Texas. In 2019 & 2017 DJ Akuaa was named Best International Ghanaian DJ at Ghana DJ Awards and in 2014, Best Female DJ at DMV African Entertainment Awards.
