Biography
Krept & Konan have been breaking records and breaking ground from the start. In 2013 their ‘Young Kingz’ mixtape shot into the Top 20 of the Official UK Album Charts, earning them a Guinness World Record for the highest charting UK album by an unsigned act. In 2015 their debut album, ‘The Long Way Home’ became the highest charting British Rap album in UK chart history after debuting at no. 2. The duo made chart history again in 2017 when they became the first UK act ever to have two mixtapes simultaneously enter the Top 10 of the Official UK Albums chart for ‘7 DAYS and 7 NIGHTS’. The double mixtape reflects the two sides of the South London rappers signature sound, featuring the likes of J Hus, Skepta, Stormzy, Abra Cadabra, Jhene Aiko, Hudson East, Tory Lanez and more. They have received numerous awards (including a BET Award and five MOBO Awards). As well as chart success, their live shows are next level. In addition to performing at multiple festivals (V, Wireless, Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds), they have embarked on numerous sold-out UK & European headline tours, performing two back-to-back shows at Kentish Town Forum and a sold out date at Alexandra Palace, plus kicking off their 2019/2020 UK & Ireland ‘Revenge is Sweet’ Tour at London’s iconic 02 Arena Krept & Konan alongside Radio 1Xtra’s DJ Target hosts BBC Three’s, ‘The Rap Game UK, a docu-series looking for the next big British rap star, which was nominated for a NTA, Bafta and won an MVSA award.
