Biography
Ambush is a British rap artist from Camden, North West London. His individual style in his flows and fashion sense is what sets him apart and makes him stand out from other artists, along with his nonchalant attitude. His journey started over a decade ago, when he was 13 years old in 2007. Ambush performed and won on a rap battle stage at a well-known event called “Bigga Fish”. Around the same time of this great achievement, he also had released a song on MySpace called “An It’s Ambush”. This track caused quite a stir locally. In January 2012, Ambush released an unofficial project called “About My Business” which was available on DatPiff.com. This album made a lot of noise for him in the underground. On January 5th 2018, Ambush sold out a headline show at Rich Mix, Shoreditch as a fundraising tribute for his cousin Nuno Cardoso, who was killed by police back in late November 2017. That same year, he also performed at Wireless Festival and at Notting Hill Carnival. He also performed at the o2 Arena for BBC 1Xtra live and Spotify’s Who We Be @ Alexandra Palace. His success headed over to Sheffield, where he performed at Charlie Sloth’s Fire In The Park. In 2019 Ambush was hotly tipped as one of the 1Xtra’s hot for 2019 artists. His breakthrough record “Jumpy” is a further testament to this. A championed timeless anthem, in which the remix featured grime heavyweights Skepta and Chip was also voted best UK song of 2018 on Complex.
