Biography

The Bulgarian-British singer and songwriter ALMA appeared for the first time at the age of 15 on Instagram, playing guitar and singing covers. Now she is among the most streamed artists in Bulgaria, signed by the biggest Bulgarian record label Virginia Records. With the release of her debut single “Perfect” in 2019, which achieved an overnight success in Bulgaria, Poland, Russia and Greece, followed by her smooth, moving and goosebumps-inducing tracks “Don’t Know”, “Out of Control”, “Be Alright”, “My Mama Told Me” and “Far Faraway”, ALMA became a trademark for quality tunes across all of Central and Eastern Europe. The result is: more than 30M views and over 10M streams worldwide, quite a few New Music Fridays around Europe, including Sweden, Poland, Denmark, Iceland, multiple #1s in the Official Airplay Chart of Bulgaria, chart success in Poland and Russia, placements in MTV Hits, MTV Dance and VH1 playlists. At the beginning of 2022 ALMA released the quick-witted and upbeat single "Close the Door", which was supported with campaigns in Poland, Russia, Greece, Turkey Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and others. In September 2021, impressed by her vocal technique and artistic nature, the Greek-Albanian singer, songwriter and producer Claydee invited ALMA to one of his international songwriting camps in Athens. A few months later Claydee joined forces with ALMA for his brand new track, called “Mamma Mia”.
