Biography

Robert John Ardiff is a singer songwriter from Ireland. He has toured extensively around Ireland in addition to playing shows in Europe, The UK and The USA. His debut solo record 'Between The Bed and Room' (2018) was recorded in a boxroom in his house and allowed Ardiff the freedom to write, record and release music at leisure, while the follow up 'The Corridors of Love' (2021) saw Ardiff stepping into the studio with a band to enact his vision. He is currently gearing up for the release of his third album. His latest batch of songs are about looking back on moments in your past and acknowledging and exploring how and why something appears differently now to how you perceived it at the time. It deals with the experience of moving away to places where you didn’t speak the language, working shit jobs to survive, the housing/financial crisis, jealousy, honesty, friendships. Sonically, it is a more ambitious and experimental record to what he has previously released with Ardiff using samples / beat loops / tape loops and field recordings throughout.
