Biography
Hadley Kennary is an artist/songwriter whose music is a modern mosaic of pop: shades of infectious melodies, poetic prose, and multi-faceted stories and are blended together to create a colorful voice all her own. With these songs and her captivating live show, along with her contributions to several other artists’ projects as a songwriter and background singer, Hadley is carving a space for herself in Nashville’s ever-growing music scene. Kennary, appropriately pronounced like the bird, grew up constantly moving around the US. In 2014, she graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music. She has graced stages around the country such as SPACE in Chicago and the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, as well as several shows in Ireland & the UK. Her songs have been in rotation on dozens of radio stations across the US, including Nashville’s independent station Lightning 100. This March, Kennary is partnering up with fellow Nashville-based artist-songwriter Emily Hackett for their first collaborative release, “Growing Apart”. This song is a lush, acoustic wave of confident melodies and brutal honesty that explores the bittersweet reality of how a friendship can change. Hackett and Kennary’s voices complement each other, trading places and perspectives, while mirroring the complicated phenomenon that part of growing up is sometimes just growing apart.
