Biography

Gee (vocalist and songwriter) and Jay (producer and multi instrumentalist) met in Harringay London when the pair were working as baristas in a music café. They quickly went from jamming on the café’s old piano to crafting their own distinctive style of music. Gee's strong, soulful and emotionally-charged vocals fit perfectly on top of Jay’s vintage jazzy chords and groovy rhythms, whilst the saxophone adds a further element to the melodic mix. During lockdown Soulful Jazzy duo wrote, produced and recorded their track, ‘Lose My Mind’, for Fearne Cotton’s ‘Happy Place' album alongside artists including, Emeli Sande, Sam Fender, Billie Marten and Ludovico Einaudi. The single garnered attention from BBC Introducing Solent ('Track of the Week' and 'Best of 2020') and The Observer ('One to Watch' artist). https://www.geejay.uk
