Biography

Born out of Brooklyn’s Bed-Stuy neighborhood, Stuyedeyed exists out of necessity. Without representation for perspective, the band documents their own reality in a society that doesn’t serve or protect them; one that prioritizes scene over community. Charged with focused aggression and unrelenting drive, Singer/guitarist Nelson Antonio Hernandez-Espinal, bassist Humberto Genão, guitarist PRECINCTS, drummers Luis Ruelas and Jhonny Nunez are an immense erratic energy from the streets of New York. Their heavy sound began as a critique of monotonous culture with Funeral, and matured into an introspective evaluation of ego and self-identity on their latest EP, Moments of Terribleness.
