Biography
Singer/songwriter, Lamar Jay, was born and raised in Long Beach, CA. He was musically inspired at an early age from a multitude of groups and artists that include Earth Wind & Fire, The Ohio Players, Musiq Soulchild, Sade, and Nate Dogg. In 2008, after realizing he was headed down the wrong path , hanging in the wrong circles that kept him in constant trouble, Lamar decided to take his music career seriously. Lamar, who is a God fearing man, felt as if a higher power was trying to get his attention to focus. Since then, Lamar has released three mix tapes: "Therapy", "Everyday Happy", and "Devotion". In 2018 he released his first EP project, "Heaven Only Knows", which contained the hit song "Joy". He followed up that effort with the 2021 release of his second EP project, "Closure". Along with his team, The CLVN (Clan), Lamar's music has been featured on satellite radio, mainstream radio, TV, and film. With his own sound, Lamar will continue to work diligently to bring his music and message to the world.
