Brothers Steven and Isaiah Carter, the faces of Smokey Motel, gear up for Summer 2022 with the release of ASMR (A Smokey Motel Record) Pt. 1. During the creation of this record, the Smokey brothers labored through a season of transition and change. New members were brought into the circle during the recording of ASMR Pt.1 and Pt. 2. New dreams were conceived, and daring plans were made. But, despite high hopes, the brothers’ journey brought them back to what felt like square one—operating once again as a duo, the repeated story of two brothers fending alone, as it had been since youth. Despite the bumps in the road, the story doesn’t end or begin in this season of change. ASMR Pt. 1 operates as a declaration of growth and transition, a mark on the trail that states, “we’ve made it this far, proudly,” and a testament to the strength of the two brothers’ bond.
