Biography
The Bangups is a rock band based in Los Angeles, CA. Its members include Joey Dornbos (vocals, guitar) and Brent French (background vocals, drums). They have released three albums, "Ten Dollars an Hour", "HELLCAT!", and “Candy Cigarettes”. They’ve worked with producer Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Bush), Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliott Smith, The Vines, Kurt Vile, FIDLAR), and Mastering Engineer Emily Lazar (Vampire Weekend, The Shins, The Postal Service). The Bangups music is influenced by early blues, 50s/60s rock and roll, 70s/80s punk rock, as well as artists from the 90s and early 2000s like Jack White, Weezer, and The Hives. Bangups' music has been licensed on various television shows including Bates Motel, Shameless, Discovery Channel, MTV, Terrace House: Tokyo as well as the snowboarding video game Steep.
