Biography
Toddla T is one of the UK’s most original talents and prolific producers. Heavily influenced by music and culture from around the world, Toddla’s sound is individually British. Toddla is author to a wealth of productions across the musical radar, working with the pinnacle of talent, both new and established. Most recently known for producing tracks by Aitch, Bugzy Malone, Stormzy, Headie One, Bru-C, AJ Tracey, Ms Banks, Fredo, Young T & Bugsey, Miraa May, Jada Kingdom, RAY BLK, Wiley, Spragga Benz, Moss Kena, Frisco and more. With over 10 years in music, back in 2009 Toddla released his debut album ‘Skanky Skanky’, an LP packed with guest spots from the likes of Roots Manuva, Serocee, Joe Goddard and Benjamin Zephaniah, and in 2011, he released his second album ‘Watch Me Dance’ on Ninja Tune, which featured arguably his biggest track to date “Take It Back” with J2K and Shola Ama. With each release, Toddla T brought in wider and wider influences and his 2017 Foreign Light LP was no different. With a strong R&B influence from Andrea Martin, Toddla still managed to incorporate a tonne of other sounds, with features from CASISDEAD, Stefflon Don, Coco, Silkki Wonda and Addis Pablo (son of dub legend Augustus Pablo).
