Biography
Hailing from Herne Bay, England in 1981, unable to afford a vinyl single, The Last Resort released their debut recordings on cassette (now a super rare collectable). Since those humble beginnings they have gone on to gain worldwide legendary status within the Oi!/Punk scene, with their debut LP “A Way of Life” becoming a long standing Oi! classic. A line up consisting of ex Anti-Nowhere League members JJ & Beef headlined the Berlin ‘Punk & Disorderly Festival’ in 2002 and have since gone on to play every corner of the globe, building on their following with both old and new fans enjoying the atmosphere and energy of their live shows. They released their aptly titled comeback album “Resurrection” in February 2005, featuring new material, some re-worked classics and some prime covers. In 2009 they released the critically acclaimed ‘You’ll Never Take Us’, which became a major instigator for the newer bands that are in the scene today. Between writing sessions for the follow up to “You’ll Never Take Us” they released a live album, "Live & Loud" which had been recorded during a tour of the Far East. With the new album finished, the band shot a video for the anthemic “You’ll Never Get A Job”, which went viral and has clocked up over 5000,000 views on YouTube! Since "This Is My England" hit the shelves to a uniform round of praise from fans and critics alike, they have hit the road again, heading to South America, Japan, Scandinavia, Canada, Russia and across Europe.
