Biography
Jessie Villa is a multi-genre singer-songwriter from New Jersey. Her artistry has an emphasis on sentimentality, honesty, connection and variety. Her hope is to be able to tell the truth so that people can find it in themselves. Probably due to moving a lot as a child, she is never comfortable for too long in one thing. Constant reinvention is her MO as she has written for 15 different artist projects amassing over 12 million streams on Spotify alone. Being able to shape-shift stylistically has allowed her to stretch herself creatively, bending into endless genres and creating new identities. She often works with her synesthesia to form the personality in a song, matching words and cadence to the colors she experiences in the feeling of the music. This also translates to her album artwork creation. Jessie and her body of work cannot be defined by one thing. What makes her shine is discovering new pieces of herself through the music she creates. January 2021 she will be introducing a new era of her artistry, one that will see some of her most personal writing and performance. After trying on countless hats over the last few years, Jessie is ready to fully re-introduce herself in 2021.
