Biography

Hiya! I'm Kari, a vocalist, song-stylist, and former circus performer. I worked in Seattle for nearly 8 years owning, operating, and performing at Emerald City Trapeze Arts. In 2019, I moved to the Palm Springs area in southern California to pursue music as a full time career. I released my first album, 'Wild is the Wind' in 2021. Going through the pandemic gave me perspective and ultimately time to produce and release my debut independently. I'm so fortunate to have worked with incredible musicians on my first album: pianist, composer, and arranger Shelly Berg, legendary guitarist Dean Parks, Kevin Axt on bass, drummer Gregg Field, acclaimed percussionist Brian Kilgore, 3-time Grammy winner John Daversa, and 2-time Grammy winner Roy Hargrove. Wild is the Wind was engineered and mixed by Don Murray in LA and mastered by Paul Blakemore in Nashville. I gathered the band together again in October, 2022 to record my second album at Capitol Studios in LA. I am very grateful to have worked with Peter Erskine (drums), Carlitos del Puerto (bass), and Terell Stafford (trumpet) on this second album, as well as many players from the first album.
