Biography
Brimming with swagger and biting lyrics, 22-year-old pop powerhouse FAANGS has arrived on the scene with a strikingly futuristic take on pop music, finding her voice somewhere “between trap, rock star shit, and pop”. Originally hailing from Canada, FAANGS moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career in music. For years, she’s put in long hours perfecting her writing, joining every session she could find, looking to prove her commitment. The city’s influence on FAANGS is clear in her mindset and music. “This city is savage,” she says. “It doesn’t have teeth—it has fangs, and it will chew you up.” Her tireless perseverance eventually led her to co-writing alongside Ashnikko on “Cry” featuring Grimes, a collaboration with Rico Nasty on her single “Own It”, and a feature on “SICKO” by Felix Jaehn and Gashi. She’s attracted the endorsements of Wonderland and Line of Best Fit, who called her debut single “HUH” a “raucous rush of trap-pop that hinges off her slick, velvet vocals and imagery-thick lyrics.” Billboard also included the track on their list of “10 Cool New Pop Songs ToGet You Through the Week.” “’RELAPSE’ is the next addition to the FAANGS world. It shows the psycho side of the music, which is my favorite side! It’s the perfect mixture of swimming eerie pop melodies and an irresistible beat that you can’t help but move your body to.”
