Biography
Bell the Band is a New York City-based project, distilled in the Appalachian south and aged in an oak barrel of American blues, roots and folk music. Having developed her voice into a haunting soprano, front woman and songwriter Caitlin Marie Bell studied opera at Oberlin Conservatory of Music. After a stint studying folk music in Seattle, Caitlin reconnected with her Americana roots in New York City. Bell the Band completed their first nation-wide tour after releasing their debut self-titled EP. The five-song EP gained early support from Spotify, making its way onto several playlists including Indie Acoustic, Fresh Folk, Women of Fresh Finds, Torch & Twang and was featured on the cover of the New Roots playlist, all contributing to over half a million streams. The young band also gained quick attention from a number of noteworthy outlets including Noisey, MAGNET, The Wild Honey Pie and Paste, who had the band in to perform in 2017. "It's got everything you want: nostalgia, reflection, and a little hope." - Noisey "...reminiscent of folk from years past, but tied together with a polished ease. With lead singer and songwriter Caitlin Marie Bell's soothing vocals, the song is like a peaceful drive through the American countryside...We can't wait to hear more." - The Wild Honey Pie
