Biography
Kidd Kidd is a rap artist with a truly distinctive approach. Hailing from New Orleans, he came up with a sound that could be described as spontaneous and unique, often inspired by the greats of the old school, while also giving his flow a more modern spin. Kidd Kidd’s story is almost the quintessential “rags to riches” tale, as he was literally discovered while he was performing on the streets of New Orleans and eventually got signed by one of the biggest record labels in the rap gain: Young Money, founded by the iconic artist Lil Wayne. He later joined forces with his label mate, Gudda Gudda, to form “Squad Up.” The project lasted until 2004 when the group parted ways with the label. However, Kidd Kidd eventually rejoined the Young Money family back in 2008, working as a solo artist. He stayed on for a couple more years until he finally decided to move to the notorious G-Unit label, operated by 50 Cent. This was a massive move for him, which really allowed him to fine-tune his career path and reach an even broader audience. As he started to gain more experience and knowledge in the music industry, as well as build a much stronger following, Kidd Kidd decided that it was about time that he too started his own label. This led to him starting “Reallionaire Records,” also known as RLLNR Records. Today, he continues to make high-quality rap that appeals to old-school fans and newcomers to the genre alike. His sound is hard-hitting and energetic
