Biography
Texas country mainstay Kevin Fowler has just rolled out his long-awaited new studio album BARSTOOL STORIES. His ninth studio album and 11th album overall, BARSTOOL STORIES is Fowler at his finest, delivering song after song of tried and true Texas attitude, beer-soaked and ready for a turn on the dance floor. BARSTOOL STORIES finds Fowler co-writing six of the album’s 11 songs while also enlisting the writing talents of heavy hitters like Wynn Varble, Chase McGill, Jessie Jo Dillon, David Lee Murphy, and more. Roger Creager and Cody Johnson join Fowler on the Chris Stapleton and Kendell Marvel-penned “A Drinkin’ Song,” capturing the raucous live energy of all three on one power-packed country song. “It turned out amazing,” Fowler says of the collaboration. Fowler has teased fans with songs from the record over the past several weeks, sharing an eclectic mix of some of BARSTOOL STORIES' best moments. Those include lyric videos for “Neon” and “Breakin’ In a Broken Heart,” as well as a hilarious music video for “Better With a Beer,” which has since earned nearly half a million views. Fowler kicked off the album when he released the tongue-in-cheek vacation ode “Beach Please,” followed by the beautifully nostalgic “Country Song to Sing” — perhaps one of the best examples of how Fowler can go from kicking up dust to drawing tears in a matter of moments.
