Biography
The Wave Mw is a Malawian music trio of Anxious, Kryptic & ThxtBoyRoy. The group was formed back in 2018 somewhere around Late August. The group was initially a part of a record label called ‘Way Too Wavy’ which had 7 artists and eventually decided to go by ‘The Wave’ because they thought it was simple way to recognize all 7 of them without having to mention 7 names, but due to some differences it ended up just being the 3 carrying the name. The group dropped one single in 2018 which had a positive response that earned them a performance slot at the 2018 UMP Awards & Earlier in 2019 they Performed along side Nasty C, AKA,Busiswa & Prince KayBee at the 2019 Nyasa Music Festival. The group went on to release an 18 songs complication project called ‘Project October’ in december which marked the beginning of a new chapter as it garnered praise and solidified their spot as one of blantyre’s most promising musical prowess with 'Ecstasy' and 'Drip Like Daddy' going on to enjoy airplay on international tv. The group broke into the Malawian industry in 2020 having been successful with 3 singles (Toast, Drip Like Daddy & Gang) which earned them five nominations including "Best New Act, Best Group, Best Video and Best Collaboration." The Wave Mw is set to release it's sophomore album "Sail" which carry with it high anticipation and huge expectations having been dubbed the future of Malawian music.
