Biography

Founded on 31 August 2004 by two brothers, Naza and Mono. Bringing music that tastes like 60's British Mod / Rock and Roll. Among their popular songs are "Nostalgia Curang Rock n Roll", "Pesona Algebra", "Gadisku Dalam Koma" which is a song from their first album Soda Pop Rock 'N' Roll. This album was nominated at the Malaysian Music Industry Awards for 'Best New Artist' in 2005. In 2006, The Times released the album Xtra Soda Pop Rock N Roll. With the addition of 2 breweries namely Kasanova & Retro Asmara. Their second album was launched in 2007 with the title Nada Melankolik Malaya. The album has sold approximately 10,000 copies even without mainstream publicity. In 2008, The Times released their third album titled Modern Minimalist Glamour. Their first single from this album was "Singapura Kuala Lumpur". This single has managed to top the AMP Channel V chart for 20 weeks. This album was also nominated at the Malaysian Music Industry Awards 2009 which is 'Top 5 Best Rock Albums'. The song Sisa-sisa has won the 'Best Of Independent Songs Of The Year XFM' at the AVIMA AWARDS 2010. The newest lineup is Naza ( vocalist), Bakri ( drummer ), Jibeng ( guitarist ) and Kabin ( bassist )
