Biography

MOSSY (Jamie Timony) is an electronic pop artist from Melbourne, Australia. He first gained notoriety in 2016 with the release of his genre-bending, self-titled EP which blended luscious balladry with heady psychedelia, and attracted international praise from Stereogum, i-D, RUSSH, GQ and Monster Children. 
Also an accomplished actor, MOSSY has appeared in acclaimed arthouse feature films such as Sleeping Beauty (Palm d’Or Nominee at Cannes Film Festival) and The Hunter (starring Willem Dafoe), as well as starring in all three seasons of the now cult classic children’s television series, H20: Just Add Water.
 In 2021, MOSSY returned with two singles ‘Shade’ and ‘Unfazed’, channeling inspiration from the Scandinavian underground, where padding club beats and sparkling ambient textures collide with elements of dance, post-punk, cloud rap and pop. Both singles were accompanied by stunning videos co-directed by MOSSY and his long time collaborator and brother, Ben Timony. 
MOSSY’s latest offering, ‘Why Can’t You See?’, a shimmering electro-ballad duet about the limits of how well you can truly know a partner, features guest vocals from Melbourne based electronic producer and vocalist, Purient (Burning Rose). 
MOSSY’s long awaited debut LP, N2KY, will be released on March 18, 2022 via I Oh You Records.
